Bacchus Marsh Produce Swap

Starting in June 2011, the Bacchus Marsh Produce Swap aims to make use of that glut of home grown goodies in many people's gardens. When you have a tree full of lemons, or a wheelbarrow full of zucchini, the Produce Swap is the place to go. If you don't have a huge vegie patch, don't worry, you don't have to bring a huge amount, a small bunch of rosemary or herbs, some empty jars, or excess seedlings, all are welcome.

WHERE:  Darley Community Art Garden, Holts Lane Darley (next to the Baptist Church)

WHEN: The first Saturday of every month from 1-2pm (check out our calendar for dates)

WHAT HAPPENS: People bring their goodies, have a cuppa, chat, exchange info/growing tips (or whatever!) and then at bit before 2pm, we swap our stuff. This is a very organic thing, and the hardest thing is making sure people actually take something home. Any left over produce is donated to the Neighbours Place.

Here is a short video showing how it all works.
